Dr. Ronnie Gaines is a native Oklahoman. Although he lived in various communities in Arkansas and Oklahoma as Pastor’s kid, he calls Pryor, in Northeast Oklahoma, home. Dr. Gaines has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theology of Pastoral Care and Ministry with a minor in business, a Master’s in Martial and Family Therapy, and a Doctorate of Ministry with a concentration in Pastoral Care and Counseling.
Dr. Gaines has been involved in ministry for over 30 years both as a staff pastor, church planter, and lead pastor. Currently, he and his wife Mylisa, serve as the Founding and Lead Pastors of Extreme Church in Pryor. In addition to his pastoral ministry experience, he is an Associate Professor at Oral Roberts University where he teaches in the Undergraduate Theology Department. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Gaines is a supervisor for current Doctoral students.
Dr. Gaines has a passion to assist couples in marital enrichment and help restore marital relationships in crisis. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his compassionate approach to marital enrichment. He has developed a seven-part Master Level Marriage video series and workbook which contains tools and methods to bring about healthy marriages.
Dr. Gaines is a United States Marine Corps veteran. He and Mylisa have been married for 32 years and reside in Pryor in the home in which they raised their family. They have two children, Kimberlynn, married to Daniel Herndon, and Bo, married to Bailey Gaines. They have three grandsons, Brycen (11), Gideon (3), and Gabe (1). His favorite hobbies are reading and jogging.
